Yummy Mexican Food

Posted by rosemountredhead on 7/27/2008

Being from the south and having Latin family members I have had great Mexican food in my day, when I moved here to Minnesota I did not enjoy the Mexican fair that I was given, that is until now. WOW Teresa's knows how to cook and to make you feel at home. The wait staff is fast and effecient and that only pales to the wonderful food choices. I can not even give you a favorite because I love it all.

Some of the best Tex-Mex in Minnesota

Posted by arsenalbrandon on 4/18/2008

Having live in the South most of my life, it was hard coming here and not having many good selections for Tex-Mex. Here is a great place. Good food, great margaritas, quick/friendly service and great prices. You get hot chips and salsa when seated. This being my favorite Mexican place in minnesota, I have been probably 50 times and only once or twice has it not met my expectations. I don't have kids but this place is a good place to bring them, there are always a lot of families. Big groups are not a problem either. My Favorites: Chicken Soft Tacos Chipolte Shrimp or Chicken Texas Margarita Combo Fajitas

Authentic, Tasty, Friendly, Affordable and Fast!

I could (and probably should) pepper this review with all sorts of positive superlatives. In short, we've found a Mexican treasure in Lakeville. My family has been enjoying Teresa's frequently for two years. We've never been disappointed withour meals, even though we go out of our way to try something new on the menu. Our meals are served amazingly fast by remarkably friendly, helpful staff. (Last week, our meals were hot on our table in around 6 minutes.) Our eating is usually accompanied by copious "oooh"s and "mmmmm"s and "you've got to try this!"s. The wait staff told us that the chef is trying to introduce Mexican authenticity to the menu, and indeed, there are many fantastic items you won't find at your typical chain joint. (They've got a wide variety reliable, quickly recognizable selections like burritos, tacos, enchiladas for the less-adventurous souls, and they taste great, too!) As if that weren't enough, the prices are outstanding! If you're a fan of Mexican food, please do yourself the favor of visiting Teresa's. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

A place for "real" Mexican food!

Like I mentioned in another review, I?m a food snob and new to the area. But when it comes to Mexican, I am especially critical. I?m a 1st generation Mexican-American and know what authentic Mexican food is. That being said, I almost hate writing this review. I don?t want this place to get too crowded. I?ve been to a number of Mexican restaurants that locals have recommended as being great. Nope, they weren?t. Teresa?s is one of the better Mexican food restaurants I?ve been to. This is one of the few Mexican places I would bring my parents to. Every dish we have tried has been great. My son and I love the fajitas, but my new favorite is a dish called Arambre. It?s sort of like enchiladas meets fajitas. It?s to die for. Prices are reasonable and portions large. You won?t leave hungry. There are a few TV screens so you don?t miss the game. Kids are welcome and service is very good. This is a casual restaurant, so shorts and sandals are ok, but you wont be out of place in chinos and a dress shirt. If you think places like Boca Chica are good, don?t bother going to Teresa?s. They don?t do Americanized Mexican food here.
